CONFIDENTIALITY OF HEALTH RECORDS
Any information that you enter on GetTested.com concerning your test results will be held in strict confidence. We do not share your information with third parties, unless legally required to do so.
It is a requirement by law for laboratories that receive and process your sample, as well as physicians who ordered the test, to report positive test results for “reportable diseases”. If you test positive for any of such “reportable diseases”, GetTested.com and/or the ordering physician and the laboratory is required to submit a “Confidential Sexually Transmitted Diseases Reporting Form” to the Department of Health of the State where you had your testing kit shipped. This information is used primarily for aggregated statistical reporting for state and national disease tracking. All information is reported and held confidentially with the Department of Health as they are not allowed by law to share your personal information or results with third parties. The reporting form shall contain the following patient information whenever available:
